Cookies Policy

What this policy covers

This policy describes cookies and equivalent technologies in MOZIC: session, language, workspace, local storage, offline use, platform and public-page analytics, monitoring, and external iframes.

Necessary technologies operate to provide and protect the service. Preferences, Analytics, and Marketing remain disabled until you choose to allow them.

Confirmed first-party cookies

  • mozic_cookie_consent: stores policy version, decision date, and selected categories for 12 months. Necessary; contains no personal identifier.
  • authjs.session-token, __Secure-authjs.session-token, and their fragments: maintain your session. Auth.js may use extra security cookies (for example, for Google sign-in). Auth.js defines them; they are required to sign in and protect the account. Necessary.
  • music-zen-active-workspace: remembers the active workspace for 1 year. Necessary.
  • mozic_locale: remembers the language you chose for 1 year. It is set only when you choose a language, to keep that choice. Necessary.
  • music-zen-last-studio-path: remembers your last Studio screen for 1 year, to take you back there. Preferences.
  • mozic_epk_locale: language of a public page. Preferences. The browser keeps it until you clear it or change the choice.
  • mozic_epk_vid: anonymous identifier so the same visit to a public page is not counted twice, for 1 year. Analytics.

Equivalent technologies

MOZIC also uses:

  • Preferences in localStorage and sessionStorage: theme, interface size, reading settings, chord notation, list order and view, metronome and tuner, recent searches, and whether you already saw the prompts to install the app or turn on notifications. Only with Preferences.
  • Necessary in localStorage and sessionStorage: the stage setup in live mode, drafts you have not sent yet (for example, a listing claim) and, in Explore, the position to return to and the pages already loaded. What is in sessionStorage is cleared when you close the tab.
  • IndexedDB and OPFS for the content you prepare for offline use, files, annotations, and sync. Necessary. If you lose access to a workspace, the device deletes its data once it learns about it. Prepared content opens offline for up to 30 days without an answer from the server.
  • Cache API and the Serwist Service Worker for the installable app and offline operation. Necessary.
  • Web Push, after you enable it, stores the device subscription and its technical keys until you revoke it or it expires. It also carries the Explore reminders you asked for.

Optional browser preferences are not read or written before consent. Requested, operational, and offline content remains available as necessary storage.

Analytics and monitoring

  • Vercel Web Analytics: pageviews and automatic events only with Analytics consent. How long they are kept, and how they are configured, is set by Vercel.
  • Public page metrics: visits, impressions, clicks, downloads, contact, and booking, only with Analytics. The cookie lasts 1 year. How long stored events remain is set by MOZIC operations and can change.
  • Browser Sentry: errors, logs, traces, and Session Replay only with Analytics consent. How long they are kept is set by Sentry.
  • Server/edge Sentry: necessary operational monitoring so the service stays stable. Retention is set by Sentry.

External content and services

YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and Vimeo embeds load only with Preferences consent. Without it, MOZIC shows the provider, an external link, and an action to allow external content.

Google reCAPTCHA protects forms from abuse and may process IP and technical data. It is necessary to operate those forms. Cookies these providers set on their own domains are provider-controlled.

Explore maps (a room's map, the events map, and «El pulso») load images from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address. Some listing photos load from the place's own website, which also receives your IP address. MOZIC sets no cookies of its own for this.

If you ask Explore to use your location, your browser asks for permission. We use it on your device to pick the nearest city and do not store it.

MOZIC currently uses no Marketing pixels or cookies. A future integration requires a policy update and a renewed decision when applicable.

Changing your choice

Change or withdraw categories from Preferences → Privacy and cookies. Withdrawal prevents future loads and events and removes optional first-party data MOZIC can control.

Same-origin policy prevents MOZIC from deleting cookies or storage created on third-party domains. Remove those through your browser or provider settings.

What this policy does not fix

MOZIC names the cookies and storage it controls. Retention for Vercel Web Analytics and Sentry is set by each provider. MOZIC does not publish a period the provider does not set here.

YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Vimeo, Google (sign-in and reCAPTCHA), OpenStreetMap, and places' websites may set cookies on their own domains. MOZIC does not delete them. reCAPTCHA may process IP and technical data to limit abuse; that processing is necessary to operate the forms.
